ALYSSA DAILY EDITORIAL

Meet the editor
Hi, I’m Alyssa! I’m a New York City-based editor working in publishing. I've helped countless writers realize their vision and go on to live their dreams as successful authors.I've been an avid reader and hobbyist writer from a young age. I hold an honors B.A. in English (Multicultural Literature and Gender Studies) and earned my English M.A. with a dual study in Literature/Film and Rhetoric/Composition.As an editor, I'm eager to help writers perfect their stories and turn them into the best versions possible by amplifying their voice and goals through developmental editing, copy editing, and proofreading.
Let's work together towards achieving your literary goals!

Developmental Edits
This is where I focus on the big picture elements of your manuscript such as structure, plot, dialogue, pacing, coherence, and style.

Copy Editing
This stage focuses on the large scale consistencies and accuracies of your manuscript’s content. This is bundled with line edits, which focuses on grammar, spelling, and punctuation among others.

Proofreading
The final step before publication. This will be a careful read through of your manuscript to spot any lingering errors in spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Full Editorial Bundle
The full editorial bundle includes all the previous stages, as well as additional support in research. It will be perfectly tailored to suit your needs.
Client Testimonials
"Working with Alyssa has been a dream. She has a sharp eye and a keen sense of what makes a story not only work, but also what makes it fantastic. She's helped me take my characters from ideas on paper to larger than life. Her insight, wit, and skills have made the editing process equal parts a joy and a breeze to work through. Her inline comments and reactions also made me feel incredibly supported, and knowing my editor believed in my story kept me going. I can't recommend her enough." — Carina Gaskell (availed of the full editorial bundle)"Reading through Alyssa's comments and suggestions, I had this sense that she really understood my style and vision. This was my first time working with a professional editor on this level and she made the process both simple and fun. Under Pink Skies is infinitely better because of her input, and I am grateful!" — Alex Chrisco (availed copy edits)
